Fred Franz Speech On 1975 (Video)

Description: The Watchtower Bible and Tract Society has a storied history of false prophecies dating back to the 19th century. In this video we examine a speech (partial clip) by the former president of the Watchtower, Fred Franz. Though he didn’t “say” what was to happen in 1975, judging by what was written, and his antics, it’s clear what he was “not saying” err saying. The Watchtower as a whole maintains that they did not predict the end of the world in 1975, but the evidence suggests otherwise.

About Razor Swift

Rich Christian who is the founder of Razor Swift, seeks to open hearts and minds through the platform of apologetics. It's his desire to approach Biblical, faith, and other issues from a different perspective rather than just preaching to the choir in the Christianese dialect. He maintains that faith and reason mustn’t necessarily be at odds with each other, but can be complementary. May no stone lay unturned.

I “googled” the year 1975 for important events. The most notable world events that I saw was the Suez Canal reopening after the Six Day War, and Lyme disease was discovered in the US. Even if one were to try and say, “We never said it was the end of the world. We just said there was something big, something . . . . major.” – – – – I could find NO major event of that year (There was the Water Gate Scandal, if that is what they meant.)

I’m going to make an article about their 1975 debacle in the future showing their various publications concerning this year. I have met many people that were JWs during that time period who affirm what the WBTS was actually saying. Should be fun. Take care!
