A Strange Sensation
I have a couple of interesting accounts that will hopefully encourage some of you who are Christians.
My wife was relaying a story to me that her friend told her recently. Her friend’s father passed away a couple of years ago (cancer) and the events surrounding his passing, were interesting.
Her father was in the care of hospice and her mom was in his room when he passed. One day, her mom was massaging his feet while he was sleeping and during this time, she felt a warm sensation above her head. She looked up but didn’t see anything.
As she continued, she felt it again and the sensation moved behind her this time. When she looked back, she saw her husband with two huge beings, one on each side, and he looked back at her with a smirk, as they were escorting him out of the room.
Immediately after this, his body went cold. When the nurse came back in to check on him, the mom said to the nurse that she thought something was wrong with him, and needed to see what it was.
The nurse told her that he had just passed, confirming the time of his passing, as the same time that the mom saw him leaving the room with these two beings!
It’s Not Time Yet
I told this story to my dad a few days later, he laughed and proceeded to tell me a similar story about my grandma, who had passed away a couple of years ago.
He told me that she told him that she was praying in her house one day, praying for God to take away her pain. (She suffered greatly in her final years) When she looked to the other end of the house, she saw two huge beings walking towards her.
As they walked towards her, they stopped, one looking at the other one, shaking his head as to say “no, it’s not her time yet” and they turned around and left. She passed away two days later.
My wife’s friend’s dad and my grandma were both Christians. I’m reminded in scripture (Luke 16:22) where angels escort Believers to paradise.
Here’s a writing from Dr. David Jeremiah on this.
